چکیده
Abstract. The quantitative integration of geophysical measurements with data and information from other disciplines is becoming increasingly important in answering the challenges undercover imaging modelling complex areas. We propose a review different techniques for utilisation structural, petrophysical, geological single physics joint inversion as implemented Tomofast-x open-source platform. detail range constraints that can be applied to potential field data. examples we show illustrate selection scenarios using realistic synthetic set inspired by real-world petrophysical Hamersley region (Western Australia). Using Tomofast-x's flexibility, investigate inversions combining and/or while illustrating L-curve principle determine regularisation weights. Our results suggest derive disjoint interval bound most effective method recover true model. It followed model smoothness smallness conditioned uncertainty cross-gradient minimisation.

Geophysical inversion using petrophysical constraints
Petrophysical information is sometimes available from well logs, laboratory measurements, etc. It has been shown that incorporation of such information into geophysical inversions can greatly improve the recovered models. However, when the known petrophysical information is not applicable throughout the entire region, the application of petrophysical constraints to geophysical inversions could ...
متن کاملJoint inversion of seismic traveltimes and gravity data using petrophysical constraints with application to lithology differentiation
Joint inversion of different geophysical data sets has recently received considerable attention. Different geophysical methods are sensitive to different physical properties and their variations on different scales, and joint inversion provides a way to combine these complementary information contained in each data set by integrating all the geophysical data into a single inversion scheme. The ...
متن کاملNon-linear constraints with application to self-potential source inversion
We investigate the use of non-linear constraints for geophysical inverse problems, with specific examples applied to source inversion of self-potential data. Typical regularization methods often produce smooth solutions by introducing a quadratic term in the objective function that minimizes the L2 norm of a low-order differential operator applied to the model. In some cases, however, the prope...
متن کاملOpen Genetic Code: on open source in the life sciences
The introduction of open source in the life sciences is increasingly being suggested as an alternative to patenting. This is an alternative, however, that takes its shape at the intersection of the life sciences and informatics. Numerous examples can be identified wherein open source in the life sciences refers to access, sharing and collaboration as informatic practices. This includes open sou...
